Regulating your nervous system is a great way to start to healing from stress and trauma. When our body and brain sense a threat our nervous system is activated causing the feeling of dysregulation (ie. heart pounding, sweating, anxiety, etc) that make up the fight/flight/freeze/fawn effect. By being able to regualte easier into the neutral/safe state, you will have more control over your body and be able to reduce these negative feelings. Here are some ways that you can start to regulate:
